I am looking for any information on anyone related to my Grandparents Angelo & Concetta Piacentini (who came from Esperia).

I haven't heard of Angelo and Concetta, but my grandparents Clino and Filomena Piacentini are from Esperia as well....

Re: Piacentini's from Esperia
Then it's a pretty good possibility that we might be related. The name Filomena rings a bell for some odd reason (but not Clino). The town is pretty small (I have been there twice) but very picturesque and I remember when My Dad (Philip) and I went there. The minute the whole town found out we were Piacentini's, We had nothing but non stop partying at the houses and only 1 meal (Which lasted 8 hours!.) We had a great time.

Re: Piacentini's from Esperia
I too have been to Esperia quite a few times...my grandmother just passed away in 1996, however Clino died in 1939 so that may be why the name doesn't ring a bell. Is your family from Esperia Inferior or Esperia Superior? My family is from the one higher on the mountain..... Please let me know if you find any more info relating to Piacentini's from Esperia!

They are also from the higher one. Esperia Superiore

Re: Piacentini's from Esperia
I think you may be a cousin of ours. My greatgrandfather was Mariano Piacentini married to Scolastica Covelli. They had three children, Raymond, Gloria, and my grandfather Ennio. We are trying to find relatives in New York and Connecticut

Sam, I think we have a match! My grandfather was Angelo Piacentini and he married Concetta Covelli. They had 5 children: Dante, Vanda, Philip (my father), Vero & Mario.
