Hi, did Antonio Piacente have any brothers and sisters? What were their names? Was his father Giovanantonio?

Look forward to hearing from you,

Patty Piacente - Clark

I am looking for a Giov Antonio Piacente who came from Mirabello Sa...Italy at age 55 on the Belgravia May 16 1903 and went to his daughter Carmela Piacente at E.150th St. Bronx NY.(from Ellis Island Records) He also had a daughter Concetta and son Donato who came from Campobasso Italy in 1904. Concetta married Pasquale Bellone abt. 1905 and they lived at 282 E. 150th St. Bronx. Anyone know about this Piacente family?

I find it very interesting that there is another Sandy Piacente and in Bradenton no less. Sometimes I think much of the info on these sights is made up. I would like to know about your grandparents, parents and how old you are. Thanks.

I have an Aunt Rose and her sister's name was Carmela. My grandfather was Anthony and my grandmother, Rose (who was divorced in Italy). My grandmother had children from a previous marriage. They both moved to NY and then to Ohio. They had three children: Yolanda, John Frank(my father) and Antoinette. My Aunt Rosie was from my Grandmother's first marriage. She had a sister Carmela, who lived in NY. My aunt is in her late 70's and I don't know if her sister is still living. Hope this helps you. We are all trying to piece the puzzle together and it isn't easy. Take care and be well.

Thanks for the reply, however I do not think this is my husbands's family. I think the family I am looking for is the one in the postings by Bob McCourt,GiovAntonio,Concetta,Carmela and Donato from Campobasso,Italy. They went to E.150th Bronx NY. If he reads this please get in touch or if anyone knows how to reach him please contact me. Thanks Linda

What was your grandmother's name? This is the first I'm hearing of a Rose so I was wondering if my great-aunt or great grand aunt was her sister.

Also, my great aunt Carmela went into a convent. I have a photo of her with here father Donato. I'd love to know if she is still living as well.

My grandfather Michael John Piacente came from many siblings. As did his wife, my grandmother Valentina Trzaska. It's very possible there are a few from their generation still alive.

My family is also from the postings of Bob McCourt. There were two Concettas (aunt and niece), two Donatos (grandfather and grandson) and three Michaels (father and two sons- one was a crib death) on this side of the Piacente family. There are also two Carmelas (great-aunt and great niece?), that I know of.

Unfortunately I don't know my grandmother's maiden name. My father never told me. I think it may have been because she was divorced or separated from her previous husband. It was all very hush, hush in those days. I really wish I could find out more about her history. She was a wonderful grandmother. She died when I was 12 years old in 1965.Thanks for your response.
