I am looking for information on my grandfather who came to this country early 1910's his name was Nazzareno. He landed in NY, Yonkers is where he settled.

Nazzareno was my "uncle Nick." He married Mary, had three children Frank, Angelo, and Irene (my cousins). My name is Andrew.
I hope you see this.

Hi Andrew. I hope that you get this message I never received your message in October. There has been some recent activity from Upstate New York. I don't know if they are relatives of your, they just might be. You may want to check the recent postings.

Hi Sandra,
I looked in to that site every couple of weeks and thought I would never receive a reply. I was surprised to get your message in my e-mail.
Wow! So many Piacente's! And we're everywhere. Am looking forward to seeing where this leads me. Our family tree has more branches than I thought.
Thanx,

Hello Andrew, Just saw your note posted here and was wondering if you were from Yonkers, NY? If you are, my grandfather and your father are cousins. My grandfathers' first name was Peter. Please let me know. thanks, Paula

Hi Paula,
Yes, I am from Yonkers, NY. My father's name was Peter too. Years ago, there were so many Peter Piacente's that my parents named my brother George. My mother wanted to name him Peter but my father said there were too many Peter's already.
Which one was your Grandfather. Nice hearing from you cuz.

This is my Grandfathers history
Hello, I was so glad to hear from you. My grandfather was Peter John Piacente, Married to Mary, son Peter John also and Daughter Patricia(Patty). My grandfather had a sister Julie who married Angelo Cippilone, and had a son Angelo, maybe you remember him. Anyway, I hope to hear from you soon.
|
Hello, today. My Mom informed me that my grandfaters name was Peter Frank, not Peter John. My Father would like to get in touch with you so if you would email me I can give you his address. Thank you and keep in touch, Paula

My dear cousin Paula, you . . .
. . . have hit paydirt. I called them aunt Julia, and uncle Angelo (who was my Confirmation sponsor). Laurina, Maria, and li'l Angelo (not so little anymore) are my second cousins. If you see or hear from any of my cousins, just mention the guy who was born on the ship (Andrea Doria). They'll know who I am. What a small world.
Great to hear from you.
Cousin Andrew

Oh this is exciting. We have probably seen eachother when I was younger over Aunt Julie's. I can always remember Easter at Aunt Julie's (playing the Italian yelling game stands out). Do you remember my Dad and Mom, or Aunt Patti? I will be seeing my grandmother this weekend and have so many questions for her in regards to this website and maybe she can help fill in the gaps that are missing. Take care :) Paula
