Hi,

There is a village of phugats named Karnawal in Dist- Meerut. Our ancestor came from Bahlot village near Rohtak , there are 02 more villages of phugats in Meerut district. Our village consist of Punia,Dhayia ,Dhankar, Malik and phugat gautra.

I was wondering if Phogats are spread anywhere else, i.e. UP, MP etc.

I have located few more phogats in USA though I am unable to contact them so far.

In UK we are the only two (as far as I know)Phogats - Mysef and my son .

There are a few more villages like mine Bhalout and i guess Rithal belongs to Phogats as well.

So we have afew phogats on the web
The phogats are a gotra among the jat community. they have supposedly tweleve villages in and around charkhi dadri
The word phohgat is supposedly derived from a very sharp weapon used in war.
