MOSES CLINTON PHILLIPS, according to his death record, was born 13 Aug 1811 and died 24 Nov 1907. He was born, according to the census in Georgia. He died in Stephens County, Texas and is buried at the Plum Branch Cem North West of Eolian.


He was married 14 June 1830 in Tuscaloosa Co, Ala to MARY NEWSON. Evidently she died early because he married CATHARINE BRACKEN on 26 Jan 1839 in the same county. In 1840 the family is shown on the census in Tuscaloosa Co.


By 1850 Moses moved his family to Harrison Township, Ouachita Co, Ark. He was entry 9. Entry 22 was a SAMUEL PHILLIPS. Catharine's mother had moved to Arkansas with them and is living with them in 1850. Her name was ELIZABETH BRACKEN b in Georgia and she was 56 as of 1850 making her born circa 1794. She was not shown on the 1860 census with them.


By 1860 the Phillips had moved on to Mine Creek Township, Nashville Post Office in Hempstead Arkansas and their oldest son had married
