Hello,
I am the great granddaughter of Orson Daniel Edwards, born 7 June, 1878 and Elizabeth Street, born 14 May 1876. I am looking for any information anyone might have as to the birth father of Orson.
I am really curious where the Philip name comes from because I cannot find any source material to back up this name.
I do know that his birth mother was Lucy Simmons Edwards, who married William Nephi Casper.
I have a temple record with this information on it.
I do know that he was born soon after Lucy and William were sealed in the Endowment House in Salt Lake City, but she would have been expecting him at the time.
I do know that his grandparents adopted him and raised him, but I don't know why.
Was Lucy raped?
Please, if anyone has any information on this, I would be so appreciative!
Our family has been searching for a long time to find proof of what the details were behind this story.
