George J. Philip, 89, of West Mifflin,
died Monday, May 9, 2011. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen (Lucas); father of Melanie Philip and John (Joann) Philip; brother of Gertrude Kravetz, Ann Frick and the late John Philip and Helen Corcoran; grandfather of Brian and Jimmy Philip; also survived by many nieces and nephews. George was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army. He was also an usher at Resurrection Church and enjoyed bowling with several leagues. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and Friday at SAVOLSKIS-WASIK-GLENN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3501 Main St., Munhall. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday at Resurrection Church, West Mifflin.
