Too bad, but we both have males in our lineage so we can't test for mtDNA. That is passed from the mother only. So, it would have to be an all female line of descent.

I've done 23andme, which does look at admixture in the rest of the DNA. However, 9 or 10 generations out it's unlikely that any signal would be present. And if there was a Native American segment, impossible to tell what generation it came from.

Still it's a great mystery.
