John was born in White County, Indiana and Married Mary Elizabeth Mc.Donald October 21, 1877. The records only indicate that they had SEVERAL children, One of whom I believe to be my grandfather (Frederick). I am trying to identify his father who is believed to have been born in Ohio.
Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for the additional info. They Had SEVERAL children (George,Rebecca,William, Alice,Lillie, Gilbert, Elza and Frederick). I personally remember Gilbert and Frederick, who is my grandfather. I also remember the Scipio's attending the annual Phebus reunions held at the Monon Park. That has been a LONG time ago. Lillie married a Frey and actually cared for J.T. in his later years. He died in Monon at the age of 92.

John & Mary had at least eight children. All were born in White County, In. In his later years he lived with one of his daughters, Minnie Scipio at Chalmers,IN. He was 92 when he died in Monon,IN. His son, Frederick was born February 1, 1896 in White County. He had a small farm outside of Rockfield, In. and later moved to Monon where he was living at the time of his death in April, 1974. I knew his brother, Gilbert, who also had a farm in northern Indiana until the untimely death of his wife (Grace) in an automobile accident in Lafayette. Uncle Gibb then moved to Peru, IN. where he passed. He had a son older than me who moved to Arizona for quite a while. I believe he returned but I don't know that for a fact. I started moving around and we lost track.
