Surnames: Phang, Sang, Lee Sang
Does anyone know or is related to Phang, Sang or Lee Sang who might live in America, Canada or Jamaica and is related to Jackson Phang. My grandfather's name was Jackson Phang (aka Six Finger Phang). His first cousin named was Violet Lee Sang. She had a son who was a doctor in Port Antonio in the 1970s to maybe 1990's. I think Dr. Lee Sang migrated to Canada. Jackson Phang lived in Kingston and Portland (maybe around 1920 to 1950's). I am trying to find out what year he went back to China and if anyone knows his proper Chinese name. He probably came to Jamaica in the 1920's.

My mother is a Phang-Sang, born to Sydney and Enid Phang-Sang, of Port Antonio, Jamaica. Sydney was born in 1917 and Enid in 1918. Let me know if I can be of any more help, if it is relevant.

Hi,

Very glad to hear from you. I have been attempting to piece together things from my family tree. I have recently heard of your mother and father. In the last several months I have been able to find out more about the family tree since I got in touch with a cousin in England). I was told of my grandfather, Jackson Phang's proper name but have not been able to find out when he went back to China.

I didn't see your side of the family on the tree. Would you know if your grandfather was related to Que Phang? Also do you know if the Phang's are related to the Ho Sang and if they are how. Do you still live in Jamaica or are you in Florida? Nice hearing from you and take care.

nice to hear from you as well. I am in Florida, with many other Phang-Sangs as well. Is the Brett you speak of a Phang-Sang as well? Not sure of Que Phang. What is your name and where are you located?
Take Care

Yes, Brett is a Phang Sang he is located in Florida. I am assuming that he is your grandnephew. I will double check the family tree I have. I think the name was Que Phang (it might have been a "pet name"). From what I am gathering whatever Que Phang regular name is I think he would be your granduncle . My name is Charmian and I live in New York.

It is always nice to meet more family. There seems to be quite a few Phang descendants out there. A cousin gave me a copy of the certificate of entry (to Jamaica) for Que Phang and that is how the name is spelled. I am assuming he is your granduncle because of that side of the family tree I understand that there were three brothers that came to Jamaica together. You wouldn't happen to be Kenneth would you? I have some cousins by marriage living in Miami and my aunt also lives in southern Florida. As I said you can e-mail me (scammers have a way of getting into these kind of message boards and then e-mailing you based on the info you provide).
