Kilda was a younger brother to my grandfather, Frank (or Ferdinand) and I would like to reconnect with this family and exchange information.

Rick,

I noticed that you have a connection between Cyrille Phaneuf and Bibiane Ouimet and show the father of Cyrille as Marcel Phaneuf. I've been trying to find the parents of Cyrille for some time now, do you have any documentation on Cyrille Phaneuf, birth information, baptism, anything? I'd appreciate it immensely!

Joanne

If you check on page 19 of the Drouin Records for the Parish of St. Valentin, year 1851, it clearly states that the parents of Cyrille Faneuf (Phaneuf) were Marcel Faneuf and Adelaide Pasteur. Hope this helps.

Rick,

I am curious if anyone responded to your inquiry of a year ago. I believe your grandfather and great uncle are all descendants of Pierre Phaneuf. Kilda was married to Marie and they lived in Manchester, New Hampshire. I am the grandson of Philias Phaneuf, brother to both Kilda and Ferdinand. If I am not mistaken and you live in the Flint area, William and Pauline should be related to you as well. I can help you with information on this side of the family if you have not already put it together.

I am the grandson of Ferdinand (Frank) Phaneuf. My mother was the 1st Pauline, born Nov. 4th, 1918 in Detroit. Four days later the 2nd Pauline was born in Quebec, her mother was Flora (Phaneuf) Fournier. Both women were pregnant at the same time the the first to give birth to a girl was to be named after Apolline, our great-grandmother. William (Bill) was the son of Leo (Leonidas) and Evelyn (Delair).
Philias was 4th child of Pierre Phaneuf and Apolline Meunier. Then came Dorilla, my grandfather, Avila Ferdinand, then Oliva Elphege, then many others. Leo (Leonidas) was the youngest born 27 years after the birth of his eldest sister Elisa born in 1868...he was born in 1895.
I met Dolette at the Phaneuf reunion in 1971-72 (?).
PLEASE contact me at my email rdpmek@comcast.net
I have a very special picture of Philias,my grandfather (Frank), and their sisters Dorilla and Flora and would love to share.
Thank you so much for contacting me. I live in the Detroit area and am 61 years old. Are you descended from Dolette or one of her brothers? You have me soooo excited about this connection.
Thanks again for the response Rick Peters Warren, Mi.

Gene,
I did get your message and still have so many questions. I remember as a boy going to Maine to see George and Yvonne. Aunt Maria was there and I loved talking to her. I distanctly remember her telling me that she had 8 children almost 4 years apart. I only have 7.
I think I still need the death date for one of the sisters, Dorothy, I believe.
I promise I will send you an email as soon as I get a chance. I've been busy with our church's Rummage Sale.
Talk to you soon>>>>>>>>Rick
