I am descended from John Phair and Jane Thompson via their son John Edward Phair. My father and I are planning a trip to Ireland this summer and would love to get together with any Phair relatives or Phair researchers while we are there.

Looking for information on Paul Phair, Andrew Phair, Delia(or Bridget) Phair, born in Ireland and came to the US from Cork county in the late 1800s, or early 1900s as teenagers.
Could be Farr instead of Phair. Paul is listed as born 28- June- 1817. Andrew is listed as Born Sept- 5- 1889. No info on Delia (Bridget)

Hi Charles,
I don't know much about the Phairs or the Crofts, but I have a lot of information on the Pickerings. They were paper makers in both Dublin and Cork. Get in touch. My email is:- wlr.watson@spc.ox.ac.uk

My Father mentioned to me that there was a large family that came from Cork to Boston in the late 1800's. Cousins, grandparents, etc.. One of the names he mentioned was Andrew Phair. Apparently the family name was Farr or possibly O'Farr when they left Ireland. Another possible brother or relative would be Eugene Phair (my Great grandfather) who was born in Ireland, not sure of the year.

Hi Donna,
looks like you came to the right place to begin your search. My Family is in the Boston MA area. There are Phairs all over the place apparently. The first step to finding some relations is by posting everything you know about your family history, were are your grandparents or great grandparents from, other known family names, etc. Then maybe we can find a link.

My great uncle that I knew was Andrew, brother of Eugene, my grandfather. Andrew settled in Dorchester MA., had a son Paul who settled in SE MA. Andrew and Eugene came from Ireland, late 18's early 19's. Children of Eugene and Mary Phair, William Joseph and Charles Francis were born here 1909 and 1910.
