my records show Moses Phagan as the son of Philip Phagan who died 1798 and Martha Newman from Pendleton SC. His siblings were Martha who married a Tillman; Philip ( my great, great grandfather) and Rebecca.I know Philip moved to Lincoln County Tenn.andd was married to Jane Gilham

Do you have any information on Frank Hudson Walker who married Alice Eveline Fagan?

Their daughter Mary D. Walker was born Jan 29, 1887 in Atlanta, Fulton Co., GA. Mary married Augustus Smith Hale.

Any help is appreciated.

"Public outcry was enormous, and on August 16, 1915, 25 armed men kidnapped Frank from prison, drove him 100 miles outside Atlanta to Mary Phagan's home town of Marietta, and hung him from a tree."
(more on website)

I am not related to this family, just passing on this information which comes from a website called "American Lynching." The link for the site is listed below.

Does anyone have any information on little Mary Phagan's mother's family? Maiden name? Parents/siblings? I have a heard a rumor in my family that we are related to Mary through her mother's side of the family and I'm trying to see if this is true. Any information you could share would be a huge help!

Thanks!

This is an awesome book all about the murder. I read this awhile back & don't remember family details. Sorry I can't be of help there. I am just getting back into genealogy and will try to post more ASAP.

One of Mary Phagan's nieces kept a list of the people that were involved in the lynching of Leo Frank. Several of my family members were on that list. Dobbs and McKinneys--she wrote a note about the Dobbs being related to Mary Kinney (Mc). I had a copy of that list that I got off of a website--I can't find mention of that list at all anymore and have lost my copy. Would anyone know where I can find a copy? The note was the only hint I had about the McKinneys and those particular Dobbs families being related.

Thank you for any help!
