Do you know the name of little Mary Phagan's parents? I wonder if she is connected to my Fagan LIne? I heard my parents, Claud Vanderbilt Fagan,( Son of General alvin, Son of Moses,) who married Wreatha Childs, (commerce, Ga.) talk about this murder when I was a little girl during the 1930's.

Thank you, Harriette Fagan Timmerman

I was just very curious as to whether anyone ever knew what happened to the factory that mary Phagan was killed in and i have this feeling that it has long since been torn down or burned down and if so when...this case has interested me for quite some time now and i figured someone who is related could at least shed some light on this for me- thanks

I am interested in Mary Phagan's family because I believe that she may have been my grandfather's cousin. My grandfather was Grover Phagan from Eastman Ga. and his father is listed in other family trees as Row phagan. I don't know if Row is short for Monroe. Row may have been the brother of John Phagan (Mary Phagan's father). Can anyone shed some light on the subject? Thankyou

Does anyone have anything on Moses Phagan b-1765,
son of Phillip Phagan, I think he was a brother to the Phagan's who moved to north Ala. and Tenn.

The pencil factory was later the Scripto Pencil Factory.
My Grandmother used to sing the song about Mary. She said that her Grandmother was Little Mary's Aunt Katy (Catherine Fagan mar. Lewis Edwards).
Katy & Lewis Edwards are buried in Forsyth Co. Ga., next to their graves was a "Mary Fagan" Katy's Mother. People over the years broke this Mary's stone & carried the pieces away.
I do not know if the factory building still exists. If I find out I will let you know.

Did you ever know of a Margaret Fagan / Phagan / Seagan born approx. 1900 that was related to Mary and your Catherine ? Our family stories have a Margaret , suposedly related to Mary, that married a Marvin Turner in 1930.
