Boy, speak of a small world! We were team truck driving in Texas in the early 2000's and we found Jordan's number in Waco. My husband, (Jordan's cousin) Edward Charles Pfuntner, son of Willis's younger brother Sterling, spoke with your father over the phone. He was excited about the contact, but the next time we were in Texas the number was no longer in service, so we didn't know what happened to Jordan. Edward was hoping to visit with him and get information or possibly pictures of Jordan, his father, and the other brother's and one sister Veronicka (oldest of Edward Joseph of 1871, and Rosa Derrenbacher 1870) Edward Joseph Pfuntner Sr. was the son of Josephus Pfundtner of 1824 and Anna Mary Laturburn 1829 of Wuerttemburg, Germany. They immigrated to the US on 7-8-1840 to New York from Havre on the Baltimore. It appears the "d" was dropped in the next generation through your ancestor Edward Joseph Pfuntner, Sr. of 1871 above. Edward 1871 and Rosa 1870 parented 8 children: Veronicke M. 1891, Edward Joseph, Jr.1892, Robert Joseph 1894, Walter Albina 1895, James Jacob 1900,
Gregory J. 1902, Willis P 1904, and Sterling Vincent 1908. These ancestors all were born in
Dansville Village, Livingston County, New York. We would love to tie your parents
into our genealogy ie: Birth and death dates, Names of children and their dates, spouses and etc. If you have knowledge of any of the above info being incorrect, please inform if you would.
epfuntner5947@att.net. We are simply having a great time abstracting Edward's (and my) family histories from relatives, and family history sites. We are especially interested in more extended
family, and any pictures we could copy of these ancestors.
Edward's father (Sterling) was the 7th son, of the 7th son, and related that fact quite readily.
He thought it was an interesting happenstance. I can find 11 children for Josephus and Anna,
but Edward was the 6th son of those reaching adulthood. I suspect a child may have passed early in life and his record is not on the net. It is oh so sad that we don't get very much information on ancestors while our relatives are living. Sterling may have known of another brother that didn't live to adulthood in his father's original family, which gave him bragging rights to 7th of 7th!?! We have no proof of that presently.
We hope this information will be illuminating for you, and we will be happy to forward any
more information we may have. We do have some pictures (not many). Feel free to ask
questions you may be interested in. Sincerely, Lorraine Pfuntner 7-25-14
