Pfundstein (Poundstone) trace...
This is a new computer and my first try at the internet. Perhaps someone out there will see this? I am looking for any information on Pfundstein's: Hermann, Caroline, Fred, George, Philip (Phillip) Charles and Siegfreid. The area would be Ohio, probably in or near Cleveland and Medina, and, I think there my be a connection in Pennsylvania, perhaps to Poundstone's. My father was Wilbert, grandfather Hermann. Grandfather, Hermann, died quite young, in his forties, I think. When I was a boy my father and I visited his uncles: Charles Philip. They both lived and farmed in Ohio. Charles was located east of Cleveland in Chardon Township and Philip had several farms and operated a service station-general store in Medina or Lorain county Ohio. When I was either twelve or thirteen years old, my father (Wilbert Herman) and I visited Uncle Philip several times. At that time(the early fifties)Uncle Philip lived on a small farm-fishing camp along the Vermilion River in Lorain County, Ohio. The house had a section, kitchen and storage room that hung out over the river. I remember climbing down through a trapdoor in the floor to Uncle Philips fishing boat and from there we would head north up the river to Lake Erie for Walleye, Perch, whatever we could catch. Uncle Philips' daughter (?) married a Mumford in Medina County, Lithfield Township. Uncle Phillip said he had visited relatives in Pennsylvania, cousins--Poundstones. Any information? Please E-mail.

Re: Pfundstein (Poundstone) trace...
My fathers name was George Pfundstein, and his father had the same name. We live in Cleveland, Ohio and are descended from the same family. My grandfather, George Pfundstein's father was Fred Pfundstein. He grew up on East 71st street in Cleveland, and he had 9 brothers and sisters. Fred Pfundstein's father was Siegrfied Pfundstein, and his mother was Sophia Caroline Bentel. They had 8 children: Fred, Herman, Elizabeth, Anna, Philip, Sophie, Charles, and Joseph. Let me know if this is what you are interested in.

I'd be very interested in the HUELSTER names at that reunion, and in your line if you have any Huelster ancestors.
Thanks

All I know is that a Mr. Huelster was/is married to a Catherine Pfundstein. I don't havd a line on Mr. Huelster. Catherine's father was John Fundstein 1890-1967.

Re: Pfundstein (Poundstone) trace... - HUELSTER
Do you have any information about Pfundstein's moving from Long Island, NY to FL.? My husbands grandparents were Frank and Bessie Pfundstein of NY. His ggrandparents were Frank and Violet Pfundstein of Suffolk County, Brookhaven Town, NY. Their children were Frank Jr., William and Edwin. I believe that all the boys moved to FL maybe sometime in the early 1950's. Frank Jr and William resided in Atlantic Beach, FL. I think Edwin lived near Clearwater, FL.
Any info on the Pfundsteins would be appreciated. Thank you!
