I am looking for Pfrommers and don't know if some letters were dropped from the last name. If anyone has a Pfrommer let me know. Thanks

My grandmother's maiden name was Mary Pfrommer, born in Chicago in 1894. Her parents were Jacob Pfrommer from Stuttgart, Germany, and Anna Boldt, born on the boat from Prussia in the 1850's.If this helps, let me know by e-mail. I would like to know more about the Pfrommers, too. Thanks!

Dear Heidi;
I was so surprised to see your message! I recently obtained the obituary for my gr uncle, Patrick O'Brien, which mentions a daughter May Pfromer?????....I don't know the connection other than Jacob Anna
Pfrommer were neighbors to Patrick's sister, Delia O'Brien-Dougherty in 1900, their daughter, Jennie, was god mother to Patrick's daughter Anna and their son, George was the informant on Patrick's death certificate. Maybe we can help each other!! I hope so....I'm confused at this point. Look forward to hearing from you.

I received your message regarding your uncle whose sister was Jacob and Anna Pfrommer's neighbor. I talked to my dad about your message, too, and we're really excited about our possible connection. although I did not mention it in my message, my grandmother did indeed go by the nickname "May" (Mae). She did have a brother George, but no sister "Jennie". Perhaps there was a misunderstanding over the years. She did have a sister "Minnie" and one "Sophie" as well as a sister "Anna". My dad (who is Jacob and Anna's grandson) says he remembers a Maurice O'Brien, who lived on 57th and Wood Street, who was the Precinct Captain of their neighborhood. My dad said he would love to have you e-mail him directly if you would like. He would probably be able to tell you a lot more than I can. His e-mail address is EdFlo21@aol.com. You can also e-mail me if you like at hitone@uswest.net. We look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Heidi A. Schell

TO JUDITH MASON:We just found your message and the name Patrick O'Brien jumped off the screen at us. Patrick was my gr grandfather.
His daughter Catherine was my grandmother.Her sister was Mae Pfrommer wife of George. They were witnesses of my grandparents wedding in 1917.Could this possibly tie in to your relatives?

Hi Denis;
Yes, our families do connect! Patrick O'Brien's sister, Mary Jane (Matthew Mason) was my great grandmother. I believe the connection would make us third cousins. I met Wayne Fitzgibbons a few years ago and together we've put together a pretty substantial family tree....not complete but we're working on it! Why don't you contact me via email and I'll fill you in on everything. Anxious to hear from you!
