Esther G. Summy Pfrogner, 83, of North Huntingdon, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, in Baldock Health Care Centre, North Huntingdon. She was born March 10, 1926, in Springertown, a daughter of the late Orin and Irene Summy. She was a member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception, in Irwin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Pfrogner Sr.; brothers, Duane, Orin "Gene" and Bob Summy; and a sister, Dorothy Beynon. Surviving are three children, James W. Pfrogner and his wife, Virginia, of Rillton, Susan Maughan and her husband, David, of Madison, and John Pfrogner and his wife, Debbie, of Ford City; six grandchildren, Barbara, Ginny Mae, Thomas, Alex, Amanda and Abigail; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Don Summy and his wife, Evelyn, of Mt. Pleasant, and Edward Summy and his wife, Shirley, of Clearwater, Fla.; a half sister, Claire Roshella, of Latrobe; and a sister-in-law, Sandy Summy. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the JOSEPH F. OTT FUNERAL HOME INC., 504 Oak St., Irwin. A blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, North Huntingdon.
