Dear Mr. Pfost...
Although I am adopted, I found my biological family at age 27. I am 50 now, and most of my family has died. They were not terribly good historians, but I do recall hearing about these family murders. I was born in W.Va, and learned later in my life that my real family was practically in the same town with me...mostly Dunbar, W. Va.
My Fathers' name was Jewel Chester Pfost, and he died in Wyoming many years ago, but had been residing in Fla. He had a brother Richard, who also resided in Fla, also deceased. I had two wonderful brothers, Stephen and Richard Pfost, who have also died; both were born in W.Va, moved to Fla in adulthood. My Dads' Mom was named Oma, and I am pretty sure her maiden name was Darnell.
I have heard the stories about the murders...and I feel ceratin you and I must be related, which is nothing short of a miracle to me. I have struggled with being adopted my entire life, and am always thrilled to think there is another member of my real family.
Please write back
