Hello, My name is Ingrid and my mother from Oberhaid, Bamburg, Germany. There is a story in her family that her grandmother's brother who's last name was Pflaum came to the US in the late 1800's early 1900's. I have no first name and the only information that she has is that they received a post card from the "biggest bridge in the world" in the early 1900's. It is also believed that he married a woman in the US that already had 4 children. My mother also said that in the 1950's a man from the US came to Oberhaid and talked to her aunt. He said that he was this man's son. The Aunt was elderly and didn't really understand so she sent him to Staffelbach to continue his search for relatives.
