I'm searching for my grandfather's brother Kilian J(oseph) Pflaum. He was born 17.FEB 1891 in Ebelsbach, Bavaria, Germany. He came from Nürnberg, Bavaria, and immigrated 17.JUN 1914 in Ellis Island, NY. Than he moved via NY City, Washington D.C. and Virginia to Toledo, OH. His last letter was dated 26.AUG 1916. Since he is missing. No spouse or kids known. Can anybody help?

Hello, is this Peter?

This is Erin Nikitchyuk. I tried researching Kilian in Ohio for you years ago. I didn't know that he came through NY and DC. I am currently living in a suburb of New York City and I am originally from the DC suburbs.

Though my efforts came up mostly empty-handed for you before, maybe some research in these intermediate locations could help.

If you're interested, write me at nikit@charter.net

For the record for anyone else interested in this line and as I delivered this information to Peter directly some time ago, we did find Kilian on Long Island NY where he died in a hospital that no longer exists. It does not appear that he had married, or at least there was no sign of family. There is still a large gap in time between his years in Ohio and New York to account for. He apparently had relatives in closer to the city (Brooklyn I believe), though I am doing this from memory.
