My Grandfather was from Pittsburg. His name was Edward Pflaum. He married my grandmother Irene there, then moved to Corpus Christy Texas. From there to San Antonio, then to Yoakum tx. All the while having kids. My father, James e. Pflaum, the oldest then Dennis, Elizibeth, Jerry and Karen(Karen has been missing for about 20 years now). I was trying to reply to Erin(Pflaum)Nikitchyuk's message #8 posted on March 29th, 2000. Let me know if this helped any. My grandfather Edward passed three years ago, and Irene his wife has alzheimers. If you'd like more info I'm sure my father could help. Feel free to e-mail me: dpflaum@austin.rr.com

Tina,

I am Elaine (Lincoln) Armstrong. Cousin to Mark Levin and granddaughter to Ralph Pflaum. Evelyn (Pflaum) Lincoln was my mother. Ralph & Minerva (Barnett) Pflaum had 9 children.
Mark's mother Alice was the youngest girl, my mother Evelyn was the oldest girl. Today only one girl is still living - Betty (Pflaum) Allard, and 4 of the boys remain - Frank, Myron, John & Robert.

Hello,
I recently learned that members of the LeVin family living in Illinois were related through marriage to one of my family surnames. If you are still viewing the message board, would you please email me and I will give you the details so we can determine if this is true. My family also came from Alsace Lorraine. Merci.

Does the name Kilian/Killian Pflaum sound familiar to you? He was born 1891 and came from Germany in 1914. He was in Toledo, OH and then I've found him in 1917 in St. Louis as an unmarried Baker. I'm thinking that is close to Southern Illinois, or at least in the path he would have traveled between the two.

My grandmother was Mary Catherine Pflaum. My father said she came from Ireland. She married Walter Killian Pflaum from Germany. From records I have found he was born in 1895 or near that time. Possibly his name was Michel when he came here and last name may have been Pflaumburg. My father wasn't sure about that story and I have not found any proof or disproof. He is buried at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.
My granddaughter and I have just started a serious ancestry search. She took all the bits and pieces and organized them. We are now filling the blanks or trying too. If you know of any connections please contact me.
