Richard Pfiester & Marie Kroger

Richard Pfiester & Marie Kroger

Classification: Query
Surnames: Pfiester, Kroger, Forbes, Donnellon
In going thru photographs my Mom had, I came across a picture of one of her cousins, Rosemary Pfiester. Since this line of Mom's family moved to Illinois from the Cincinnati area long ago, we've had little contact with these relatives.

Richard & Marie Kroger married in Hamilton County, Ohio on November 20, 1909. Marie was the daughter of Alfred & Ellen (nee Forbes) Kroger. She was my grandmother Loretta Kroger Donnellon's sister. I only know of two children from my research, Richard and Rosemary.

I haven't been able to track down any other info, so I thought I'd post here. I would be happy to send this photo along to some family member.

I have found some other children: Mildred, born around 1912, Alfred, born 1915 and Robert, born 1919. In the 1930 census, Rosemary is shown as Rose Marie. In the 1920 census, the family was still living in Hamilton County, Ohio (Cincinnati area).

My name is Diane Alice (Pfiester) Meore (75). I was the last (child) of the Marie and Richard Pfiester. My brothers were Richard, Al, Robert, Mildred and Rose Marie. Richard died way before I was born. Al, Bob and Milly are deceased. My daughter and I would love to hear from some of my parents relatives. I have two children, Greg and Donna and four grandchildren, (Tom, Heather) Michaela and Matthew.. Take care,

Diane, great to hear from you. I just sent you a Facebook friend request, but send me an email at josametz at gmail dot com and I can connect more easily. I've been in contact with your sister Rose-Marie and have sent her some pictures (including one I took of your brother Richard's grave at Spring Grove Cemetery, not far from my house). joe
