Harry Pfeifer Jr., 82, of Stroudsburg,
died Saturday, March 28, 2015, in the Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla, Calif.
He was the loving husband of Donna J. (Tokar) Pfeifer, with whom he had shared 55 years of marriage. Born in Mt. Pleasant, he was the son of the late Harry and Mary (Karfelt) Pfeifer. Harry was a lifelong resident of the Stroudsburg area and enjoyed spending the winter months in the San Diego, Calif. area. He received his Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering and was vice president of the Herbert R. Imbt Inc. construction company for many years. He was an Army veteran. In addition to his wife, Donna, he is survived by three daughters, Lynn Ann Baxter and her husband, Scott, of Prescott, Ariz., Deborah Lee Hoffer and her husband, Michael, of San Diego, Calif., and Mona Pfeifer Burick and her husband, Ray, of Atlanta, Ga.; and four grandchildren, Kyle and Ali Hoffer and Sierra and Carson Burick. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015, from the JOSEPH J. PULA FUNERAL HOME INC., 23 N. Ninth St., Stroudsburg, with Father Carmen Perry, officiating. Private entombment will be in the Mountain Laurel Mausoleum at Laurelwood Cemetery, Stroudsburg. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home. Memorial Donations may be made to the Pocono Family YMCA, 809 Main St., Stroudsburg, PA 18360.
