I found information from the FamilySearch site about a marriage: PFEFFERKORN, OTILLIA WILHELMINE HENRIETTA married PLANTICO, CARL in 1868 in Manitowoc, WI. She was born 1834.

I believe this is the first wife of my Great Grandfather, Carl Plantico, they had a daughter Annie or Ann who was born in 11-3-1868, Carl married my Great Grandmother, Minnie Rahmlow in 1871, Minnie raised Ann as her own daughter.

I believe Otillia died giving birth to Ann or died shortly after.

If any of these names sound familar to anyone, please email me.

I am still trying to find a date of the the marriage listed above, would love to have a copy of the marriage cert or information off the cert.

Thank you.

Hi Pat,

I am also researching Pfefferkorn as a family line. I did
locate a death date for a Henrietta Plantico in Manitowoc
on March 7 1899. Think this might be Otillia?

Also there are only 3 Plantico's on the 1880's census,
nothing earlier.

Regarding Henrietta Plantiko, that is my Great-Grandfather and Great Grandmother's daughter that was a still born, it actually states "stillborn" at the bottom of the record.

I believe Otilla died sometime between 1868-1870. My Great-Grandfather, Carl, remarried in 1871 to my Great-Grandmother, Minnie Rahmlow in Manitowoc. I also have the census for the 1880, Annie is living with Carl/Minnie, she was listed as 11.

I received today from my Mom, some German books, they are written in German, but in the front of one of the books, Otillia's name is written in the front. This proves he was married to her.

I just cant seem to find him anywhere on the 1870 census, and I find that really strange.
