I believe your Maria Rosenna was from Reyersviller France and the sister of my gggrandmother Catherine Pail B 1823 (birth records showed Bail but later document said it should have been Pail. Catherine married Jean (John) Nicolas Walter. I am researching this family right now. I will try to reach you later when I have more information.

Is there a Pittsburgh connection here? I know that the family immigrated directly to the burgh and spent their entire lives living on the north side....except for a few of Rosennia's children ...one moved to the south side and one moved to a neighboring county.

Totally a Pittsburgh connection. Catherine Pail Walter (my gggrandmother) was from Reyersviller. I believe Rosennia was her sister and will try to prove that in the next few weeks with the LDS films. I caught the connection when (I think it was you) showed something in her probate regarding a brother-in-law John Walter(s). Their name was Walter in Reyersviller..some used Walters later on here. John Walter also had 2 brothers that came here...Joseph Walter who married Eva Bail/Pail (will try to connect this too this winter) . This line moved on to Kansas in the late 1870's and I communicate occasionally with a descendant in CA. Nicolas Walter married an Eva Bour but I have yet to find a descendant of that line. I do know there is a lady though researching the Bour/Bauer name trying to connect everyone too. There are several people that are descending from these Reyersviller families. They all keep interconnecting over and over back in France. Catherine Pail Walter (birth record shows name Bail) but later document says many of these Bail's by birth were incorrectly recorded that way and the name was supposed to be Pail and John Walter lived mostly in Braddock area although I found him for a short while in Westmoreland County in 1870. He was a coal miner. Nicolas Walter was a stone mason and from what I can tell lived in Pgh. Mary Eve Walter (my ggrandmother) married John Nicolas Koelsch (also from Reyersviller). His mother was Rosina Schaming. Many of them are buried out at All Saints Braddock Catholic Cemetery. I grew up in a little boro on the northside (well remember Dietz Flower Shop in Bellevue....went to school with some Dietz's (from Emsworth)....wondered if there was a connection. I am leaving in the morning and won't be back for a few months....if I find anything more on your Roseinna I'll let you know....do you need a copy of her birth? You can post here...I can try to post from public library down in Sarasota...I think it comes across as Gale Library Group.
