I have a piece of music arranged for the piano by Frank A Pfaffenschlager, Princip. Msis 38th Reg. The music is called the Chattoogata Polka and is in his own hand. There is something about the Oliver Hospital, La Grange on the music

The sheet music you mention sounds like a piece of sheet music of which I have the original. Can you provide more info?

Thanks
Dean

A friend gave me a copy of the sheet music so I could play the music and tape it so he could play it for a Civil War re-enactment event near here. I play the piano so I made him a tape of the polka. That's all I know about it.

Exactly. Steve Kennedy gave me the music to record and said it was for the 38th Regiment meeting with Art Green speaking at Grove Hill, Al. I think.. He is very excited about it. It sounds like fun. He told me a little about Frank A P. He sounds like a renaissance man.

Hello!!! My name is Terri Hicks and I am a volunteer with Oak Hill Cemetery in Birmingham. As you are probably aware, Frank is buried there. We are having an historical tour of the cemetery on May 1, and are hoping to have someone portray him, as well as some of the other influential "residents" there. If you are a descendent of his, I would love to discuss him with you further! And if you wouldn't mind, I would also like to get a copy of the music you mentioned. Please feel free to email me at any time!!! Thank you!!
