Hyde Park

Mario R. Pezzanna Sr., 79, of Hyde Park died at 5:40 p.m. Wednesday (Oct. 6, 2004) in West Haven Nursing Home, Washington Township.
Born Aug. 6, 1925, in Hyde Park, he lived there all of his life.
A veteran, he served with the Marines during World War II.
He was a store house attendant for Allegheny Ludlum, West Leechburg Works, for 38 years before retiring in 1986.
Mr. Pezzana was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington, the Retirees of the United Steelworkers of America in Leechburg and Spring Church Sportsmen's Club, Kiski Township.
He enjoyed doing arts and crafts, photography, listening to country and western music, dancing, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Hilda F. Schantz Miller Pezzana; two sons, Mario R. (Joan) Pezzana Jr. of Manorville and Robert T. Pezzana of Hyde Park; a daughter, Betty Ann (James) Imm of Lower Burrell; three stepsons, Samuel E. (Kimberly) Miller Jr. of Port St. Lucie, Fla., Robert C. Miller of Naples, Fla., and Timothy A. Miller of Lower Burrell; three stepdaughters, Diane (Terry) Bollinger of Truxall, Bell, Sarah (Dennis) Simon of Gilpin and JoAnne Miller of Leechburg; 19 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gertrude Lorraine Fryer Pezzana; his parents, Riccardo and Angeline Dezzutti Pezzana; two brothers, Joseph J. and John J. Pezzana; and a sister, Margaret Pezzana.
Friends will be welcomed by his family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in CLAWSONS, Second at Main streets, Leechburg, where parting prayers of transfer will be recited at 9:15 a.m. Saturday. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church by his pastor, the Rev. Larry J. Kulick. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park mausoleum, Lower Burrell, with full military honors accorded by the Armstrong County Honor Guard.
