Just thought I'd post some Pew info I found on the 1830 Wayne Twp., Belmont Co, Ohio census and see who might be interested in such material. I'm related to Henry Huffman who married Hannah Pew in Dec. of 1820.
John Pew age 20-30, female in household age 15-20 Samuel Pew age 20-30, 2 females in household age 15-20 one male under 5 Morgan Pew age 30-40, female in house age 20-30, one female under 5 Jefsa or Jepa Pew age 50-60, female in house age 30-40, one male under age 5, one male 10-15, two males 15-20, one female age 5-10 Henry Huffman age 20-30, female in household age 20-30 one male under age 5, one female under age 5, one female 5-10.
on the next page two Vanduine (Vanduyne) families are listed, a John Vanduine and an Acy or Aey perhaps Vanduine. One door down from John Vanduine is listed a William Powell family.
All of these families intermarried in different cominations, but I'm not sure who Hannah Pew's parents were and would love to find out the relationships between all these people. Do you know?

Hi all, I was looking up the Pews for someone and found Alice among my info. Williams Co Births 1867-1878 Vol. 1 lists Alice dob. 11/4/1875, Superior Twp, female, page 80. Parents: William PEW and Amanda E. BORDNER. Hope this helps you. Linda T

Linda, Thank you. The Alice Pew I'm looking for was born 11-4-1830, She married Samuel Hill on Dec. 25 1845. She was 15 and Samuel was 40. She died April 14 1856 or 57. Maybe your Alice was named after my Alice as both had a Nov 4th birthdate. I can not find a record of her death. Family rumor said she died in Williams county. Maybe the William Pew was the older Alice Pew's brother? I do not know any other information about Alice. Again, Thank You

Did your Alice Pew marry Samuel Hill in Williams County, Ohio? If so, I believe she is the daughter of Joseph Pew and Ruth Eddy. Joseph Pew and Ruth Eddy moved to Williams County, Ohio in 1836. Joseph is the only Pew I can find living in Williams County of the right age--and in Ohio, at that time, weddings had to occur in the county where the bride lived. I have identified 7 children belonging to this marriage so far.
