William Peverill m Elizabeth Rossiter Gloucestershire, UK, ~1842
Hi,
I am looking for information please about the parents and siblings of Elizabeth Rossiter born circa 1820 at Chappel Hill, Hewelsfield, Gloucestershire, England. Her father was William Rossiter, a saddler probably born in the Bristol area. She married William Peveral/ Peverel / Peverill born circa 1821 in Gloucestershire in about March 1842 in the Chepstow Registration District.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.TIA.
Best wishes

Re: William Peverill & Elizabeth Rossiter
Hi Kevin
I am a descendant of these two. My great-grandmother was their third daughter, Mary Ann. The family migrated to New Zealand in 1863.
I have not been able to trace the parents of Elizabeth nor do I know of any siblings. I would be pleased to hear of any information you have about her family

Re: William Peverill & Elizabeth Rossiter
Hi Barry, Thanks for your posting.
As far as I can find, William & Elizabeth were married in had 6 children born Hewelsfield:- Sarah born circa 1843 Harriet Louisa born circa 1845 Mary Ann born circa 1848 William Henry born circa 1851 George born circa 1858 Arthur Thomas born circa 1864
I suspect that Elizabeth's parents could be Thomas Rossiter & Harriet Lewis Stokes but cannot prove it at the moment.
I'd be interested to hear what you have.
Best wishes

Re: William Peverill & Elizabeth Rossiter
My father gave me a silver mug inscribed with the words. A gift to Anne Mary Frances Piberil October 8th 1863. It was used as a christening mug in my family but was possibly bought in London during the WWII since my parents lived there then. I cant find any reference to anyone named Piberil and wonder if its a misspelling of Peverill. was there anyone with those first names in your family tree? I'm not trying to sell this mug. just curious about its history.
