Hi,

This is a new surname message board for PEVERELL and, at the moment, it is completely clear. My name is Rosemary, I live in Northumberland and I am the board administrator.

If you have any PEVERELL ancestors, please add their details here [start a new thread] so that others may contact you when your paths cross.

There are also boards for the spelling variations PEVERELLE and PEVERILL - spelling was not consistent until comparatively recently, so be sure to check both boards for possible connections.

You can also post other research information that you've found about any PEVERELL family which may be helpful to someone else. This can be added to various categories such as bible, census, obituaries etc

Quick guide to good posts:

1. Subject Line:
Be clear and specific. Include information such as first name, surname, dates and place.

2. Message:
Include all relevant details - what research you have already done and what you would like to find.

3. Surnames:
Only add surnames that are included in this message.

4. Classification:
Choose the relevant type of message - is it a query or are you adding another type of information

5. Attachement:
You can add an attachment to your post by clicking on the "Attach a File" link.

6. Remember:
i. be polite
ii. be clear
iii. don't add details of anyone still living

Happy burrowing,

Rosemary

Surnames: Peverell
I am a Peverell - I am tracing Peverell's from Hartlepool (as a starter) Thomas Henry Peverell (my grandfather), his father, also Thomas Henry Peverell (1862-1940, born Hartlepool) - am happy for you to see my tree. THP Senior married 3 times, had a grocer's business in Hartlepool and owned several trawlers. Confusion for me abounds with THP Senior's father Joseph Peverell (1840 - died before 1869) and his parentage.I always thought we had such an unusual name!
Addresses in Hartlepool incl. Throsten Street, Northgate, Albion Terrace. Peverells seem to be all over the place in Durham.

My great grandfather, Daniel Henderson's sister, Ursula Margaret Henderson of Cullivoe, Shetlands married Thomas Henry Peverell in Sunderland in 1885. Their children were Mary Olive born 1885, Hilda (1887) and Thomas Henry born 20/6/1890 (your grandfather ?) Ursula died in 1891 aged 33. Hope this is of some help to you.
