This week my mother, Cecelia Peuse Strasburg celebrates her 80th birthday.
I am interested in hearing from people that have information on the immigration of the Peuse's from Germany to Wisconsin. My family line is as follows:

August Peuse - Carl (Charles) Ludwig Peuse 1825 - Carl Franz Peuse 1856 - Walter William Peuse 1888 - Cecelia Angeline Peuse 1922 - Luther Milton Strasburg 1950

My father's mother was Louise Peuse, wife of Ernest Peuse. She was born May 3, 1898. Was my grandmother your mother's first cousin? If so, you would be interested to know that there are 27 decendents of Louise's son Robert, down here in southern Wisc and me in Chicago with my family. You had written on an earlier post "Louisa". I am thinking that was a typo because I have never run across an Louisa on any of my searches.

You are right about Louise vs Louisa. Now Ernest had a sister Louisa that married a Patzwald. My grandfather was Walter, a brother to Ernest.

I have your name and the other 7 children of Robert in my database, no dates - marriages or children.

Is your mother Elaine still living?

so sorry for not getting back to you in over one year! I forgot all about the posting I'd left. I will gather birthdays, anniversaries, etc for you. Please email me at bobbijop@comcast.net so I have your email address. My husband and I just adopted two children last year, so I got caught up in that. Now, I'd like to finish this business and, record the adoption of our children at some point along the way. Thanks Luther.

In a box of "stuff" at an auction, my husband got a small bible written in German that had the name of Walter Peuse written on the front. If you think this might have belonged to your Grandfather I would be more than happy to pass it on to you. Let me know..
