Re: Peugh Family in Woodward & Goodwell, Oklahoma
Hi Janet, I don't know if I can help too much, but my family is the Peugh family and I can say that my Great Great Grandmother Mary Elizabeth Terhune Shippey Peugh was married to a Spencer Peugh. They had quite a few children. One of them - Olive Myrtle Peugh Stone moved to Woodward, Oklahoma, and at one time I believe that Mary Peugh moved there to be near her daughter. But I am not positive. I think there was a few of her brothers who moved there also. I hope this has helped a little. I can research more, if you like. - Karen Clawson Mason

Re: Peugh Family in Woodward & Goodwell, Oklahoma
Yes, you are right. Your family is buried in Woodward Oklahoma, both the Peugh's and the Stone's. Elizabeth moved to Woodward and bought land for her son Spencer C.Peugh. He was William Humphrey Peugh's brother. He was married to Minnie Mae Lindbloom Peugh from Sweden. This is my husband's family. We are looking for Minnie. All of the others are accounted for but her. If you have any info or can ask other Peugh's in Kansas, Oklahoma we would appreciate this. We have hand searched Oklahoma for her death certificate but it can't be found. She either remarried or left Oklahoma. Thank you for writing. Also Elizabeth is buried in Jewell Kansas. You can find them on Find A Grave. Janet Castor

Very interesting. Spencer Colfax Peugh was married to Minnie Mae Lindbloom Peugh? Perhaps she wanted to be buried in Sweden. I don't know. I will do some searching. Thank you for your information

Spencer C. never married. His brother William Humphrey Peugh married Minnie Mae Lindbloom in Binkleman, Nebraska. They had 3 sons. All the sons never had children. Janet Castor
