My gg grandmother was Mary Elizabeth Perry, born in Kentucky ca.1825. She married Charles Dobson. At this time, I've still not been able to learn who her parents were. Sometime prior to 1850-1855 she came to Illinois where she lived until her husband and their family moved to Kansas ca. 1880. When I was in school and we were studying about Oliver Hazard Perry and his brother, Matthew, my mother told me that we were related to them but she didn't know exactly how. I have since learned that Charles' wife was Mary Elizabeth Perry and that's all I know. Is there a website that has the Oliver Hazard Perry family's genealogy? Any help on the Perry line would be appreciated.
