My family has done quite a bit of research on Ute Perkins. I am descended through Susanna Perkins married to Lewis Whitesides, the daughter of Absalom Perkins, a son of Ute Perkins and Sarah Gant, who had a large family. We have alot of information on the Gants as well. Ute's father, Robert Biggan Perkins will was proven Jan of 1820 in Lincoln County, North Carolina dated 11 Jun 1819 (North Carolina State Archives) by corresp. )George Washington Perkins was a son of Absalom Perkins and was a pony express rider. The only Elisha Perkins I have is the son of the first Richard Perkins, born in 1697 in St. Georges Parish,in Maryland. Richard's wife: Mary Sherwill. A book was recently published by Eugene H.
