Wow Ralph! You must have done so much work to find that information! I did catch a few mistakes though with some of my immediate family's info. If you would like, I can review and get back to you.

I have been contemplating starting a family tree/record, and this is just what I need to get started with the Marrone/Peragine side of my family.
Thanks for posting!

My husband is a PERAGINE. While sorting thorugh old documents, I am able to provide these accurate facts.
Rafaele Peragine (Toritto) married Maria Casamassina (Italy). His son Michele (born 1864), came to USA in 1901 aboard the Kronprinz Frederick Wilhelm (I have papers documenthing this fact.) Michele married Anngelina De Fazio Restucci/Lestucci in NY in 1903. Their children are: Maria, Anna, Ralph, Joseph, Donato, Angela and Francesa who did at a young age.
Also, the parents of Angelina were Lorenzo Lestucci or Restucci, and marie De fazio. Angelina was born in Simeri Crichi.

I hope this helps!

on googleing my family name i saw your history. i don't know if there is a connection but my grandfather phillipo peragine from bari came to america in the early nineteen hundreds by way of sicily i think. my father joseph was born in 1922 and i in the 50's. i know that probably doesn't help you but i commend your search. thank you for opening my eyes to possible other relation and wish me luck on my newly dedicated journey.

Hey Jonathan! Cousin Maria from Vermont here. Just saw your post. I am trying to obtain Italian citizenship for myself and my kids. Wondered if you found any relatives in Grumo. It is going to take an enormous effort to pull together all the documents we will need to make this happen. Any info you have gotten that you think might help me would be appreciated. Did you find family in Grumo?

Love to you and your beautiful family! xxxMaria
