Re: Stanislaus "Tannis" Ducotey
I was searching the web and found this site. Your Tannis Ducotey would be my great-grandfather. I was born in Pawhuska but unfortunately know very little about my family history beyond "Tannis". What is your relationship?

Re: Stanislaus "Tannis" Ducotey
My maternal grandmother was the sister of Frank Ducotey's 2nd wife, Cordelia Alice Ledbetter. They were married in Comanche County, TX in 1879. They had 2 children, a son who died about 6 years of age, and a daughter, Josie, who lived a long life and died in Ralston, OK in 1979. Josie's mother died when she was about 4 yrs old. Josie lived with my grandparents and with "Tannis", her half-brother, off and on. When Josie married in 1914, she and her husband moved to OK and lived in Ponca City, Ralston, and maybe even Pawhuska. Anyway, I have lots of cousins living in that area today. Send me more info. Will share. Thanks, G.

Re: Stanislaus "Tannis" Ducotey
It's very posible for there to be a Pequignot Ducotey connection there. Pequignots, ducoteys and besanceneys married into each others families way back in france as well as many states here in the U.S. What info do you have on Francois Ducotey? Our Christin Ducotey came to the U.S. in 1852 he settled inLycoming county,Pa. but he had a brother Francois xavier, francois had a twin sister Rosalie. I also found a Francois Ducotey shiplist. the ship being Silvie de grasse , from Havre , france to ny. on April 17,1843 francois Ducatey age 19. I would appreciate any info you have on Francois Ducotey. can email me directly at dipeq@webtv.net thank you. Diana

Re: Pequignot , Liette passenger ship list found
I found a passengership list on the transcriber guide site , I think could be for Joseph Pequignot, it reads like this: Joseph Peguignet age 19, suisse, M. also listed was Joseph Liette, age 19. Liettes and Pequignots tie together in families back in France. They departed from Harve, France to new orleans, may 25, 1854 on ship Roger Stewart.

I found a passengership list with the name Joseph Pequignot listed on it, however I think they misspelled Pequignot, it was found in the transcribers guide to passengership list, and reads like this. Joseph Peguignet age 19, suisse, M departed from Havre, France on May 25, 1854 for New Orleans. Ship Roger Stewart. Another passenger of interest to me was Joseph Liette. the two families tie into each other back in France.

Hi Diana, Thanks for posting a reply, but unfortunately he wasn't my Joseph. My Joseph came over on Oct. 16, 1849 and landed in New York, he came over on the ship Atlantic from Harve France. The Joseph you are talking about probably was related to him but I couldn't find any other Joseph Pequignot's in New Orleans. I think my Pequignot's are the only ones who lived in New Orleans. I'm sure they are related to all of the Pequignot's in Indiana, Illinois, Ohio etc. but haven't been able to connect them yet.

Re: Stanislaus "Tannis" "Tanzy" Pequignot
Thank You for this information. Stanislaus is an ancestor through Mary Eugenia. My Great Great Grandfather was Peter on my fathers Goffena side. And my Grandmother was Cecelia Bessie Smith who was the son of Joseph Schmitt.
