Help me find Peper descendants
I am searching for descendants of Cord Peper, born Mar 3, 1867 in Augustendorf Germany, Heinrich Peper born Nov 13 1869 in Augustendorf Germany and Johann Peper born Jan 21 1865 in Augustendorf, Germany. Their parents were Cord Peper born May 25, 1826 in Lavenstedt, Germany and Anne Bredehoft born Apr 22, 1831 in Haassel, Bremervoerde, Germany. Cord and Anne were married 19 Apr 1864 in Gnarrenburg, Germany. I have located a Mar 24, 1892 naturalization certificate for a Cord Peper with the same birthdate from Queens County New York and located a Mar 28, 1900 naturalization certificate for a Henry Peper with the same birth date from Queens County New York. They were still found on the New York Census records through 1930.

Re: Help me find Peper descendants
Our earliest PEPER ancestor is Johann Heinrich PEPER, born Hanover, Germany, 1834 and married to Anna Rehbach (not sure of spelling) born Rockstedt, Germany in 1834. They came to US in 1880 and settled in Macoupin Co, IL. I have no names of ancestors before those dates. Linda Peper

Re: Help me find Peper descendants
Thanks for responding. I think these two families are probably not related unless way back in the 1500's. If you are researching for your ancestors in Germany you might want to contact the same person who gave me concise reliable information right from the church's baptismal, marriage and death records. His name is Ewald Albers. If you are interested, e-mail me directly and I will give you his address and the prices he charges.

Re: Help me find Peper descendants
I am wondering if we may have some common ancestors. I do not recognize the Peper names you mentioned, but I have Peper ancestors who came over to the USA from Germany around 1880 and settled in Macoupin County, IL. I have naturalization records for Behrend (Benjamin) Peper in 1884 in Montgomery County, IL. But he was married and several kids were born in Macoupin County, IL.

Re: Help me find Peper descendants
Does his naturalization record give you any hints about ancestry? The three Peper sons of Cord Peper and Anne Bredehoft had a half brother and a half sister born to his first wife. They were Peter born 7 Oct 1849 and Lena born 22 Sep 1851. Anne was a sister to my grandfather Jacob Bredehoeft. My researcher, Mr. Albers only gave me more info about Johann, Cord, and Heinrich because they were related through the Bredehoeft lines. My grandfather Jacob was 65 when my father was born. Anne was Jacob's oldest sister. That is why the timeline is so strange. Johann, Cord and Heinrich were my father's first cousins but I doubt they even knew the other existed. Mr. Albers could find no further trace of them in Germany so he presumed they had emigrated. Found Cord and Heinrich in New York but have not yet found Johann with the correct birth date.

Re: Help me find Peper descendants
The only sibling I know of for Benjamin is a Carl Burk Peper. And the wife I have for Cord Peper is Altje Weber. I don't have a record of him having another wife. That doesn't mean he didn't, I just don't have the information.
