Jill Lintner Peper
FLY CREEK — Jill Lintner Peper, 45, of Fly Creek, died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 11, 1998, at her home.
She was born on Dec. 19, 1952, in Binghamton, a daughter of Henry and Charlotte Lintner.
Jill was raised in Mountainside, N.J., and graduated from the Governor Livingston Regional High School in Brookshire, N.J., in 1970. She later attended Montclair College. While living in New Jersey she was employed as a bookkeeper for United Counties Trust Company in Elizabeth.
In 1983, she moved to Cooperstown and was owner of The Marketplace on Main Street from 1984 until 1991. She was then employed by the New York State Historical Association as a weaver and interpreter at the Farmers Museum. From February 1993 until this year, Jill was a very devoted employee of Smith Ford in Cooperstown.
Jill enjoyed skiing and softball while living in New Jersey, and after moving to Cooperstown she exercised her love of outdoor gardening, animals and most of all people. She will be greatly missed by her family and many, many dear friends.
She is survived by her son, John Henry Peper, of Cooperstown, and his father, William J. Peper; a special aunt, Mickey Gitomer, of Silver Spring, Md; many cousins; and countless dear friends and acquantances.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 1998, at the Connell, Dow & Deysenroth Funeral Home in Cooperstown with the Rev. John R. Roos, pastor of St. Mary's Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, officiating.
