hello! I am researching my Peymann ancestors... I have heard through some resources that the name was originally Peon St. Onge and that because of a family feud one half took the name Peon and the other St. Onge.. Supposedly, the Peons then changed their name to Payon and from there to Peymann. I have found Peymanns in Canada, Germany, England and Belgium....I was wondering if maybe you had heard the rumor?
Please let me know....
Thank you, Carol Peymann Mitchell
