Surnames: PEON or Peon de Castiello or Peon-Castiello
Hi Cheri, my grandfather was Jose Peon de Castiello and he came from Asturias to Ellis Island and then went to Cuba. He was a widower with 3 sons when he married my Cuban grandmother and they arrived in FL in 1910.

His son's were Manolo, Camilo and Ramon Peon . Ramon was a movie director/producer in Mexico for many years.

Does any of this make us related ? LOL

Is it possible to send me a photo of the PEON CREST? I would love it if you could..

ATTN Eileen

I am writing to you from Spain.
My family PEON comes from San Justo a valley in the county of Villaviciosa in Asturias, a very old region in the north of Spain.
I think that the brother of my ggmother was named Jose Peón Castiello, but I am not completly sure. I know that he had two sons named Camilo and Manuel (Manolo) because I have their photos.
Please find attached the photos, just for the case you can identify any of them or you have seen those photos.

My name is
ManuelCueto (Valdes Castiello PEON)

My fathe was José Manuel Cueto Castiello, and my mother is
Beatriz Valdes Peon.
