I recently saw the previous posts about Penniston-Rankin.
My name is Paula Kircher, I am working on my husband’s mother’s side of the family and might be of some help and thought you might have info for me also.
My husband: Ted
Mother: Marie
Grandmother: Eva
Great grand mother: Josephine Rankin

Then I have Josephine’s parents as Rankin and Tentheson (mothers maiden name form Josephine’s death cert.) A very distraught daughter gave this info in 1947.
From Josephine’s obit I know that she had siblings, William Rankin and Ralph Rankin whom lived in California. (Los Angles area).
When doing searching I found a William and a Ralph Rankin in California Death index, ages, names and locations are right.
The only thing is that for both these men, they list mother’s maiden name as Penniston. But I believe these are Josephine’s brothers.
I tried a test and called a friend who recorded me and when I said both names, on the recording it was very hard to distinguish the “Ten and Penn”.
If anyone has information-linking Josephine to William and Ralph I would love to have it. And if anyone wants a lot of information about Josephine Rankin down to her great grand son, I have extensive information and documents I would gladly share.
