I am trying to find more information on my 3x great-grandmother. Her name was Mary Jane Pennington and she was born in Illinois about 1842. She married a man named John C. Dallas. They had at least five children:

William R. born 27 November 1858 in Missouri
Aaron W. born about 1862 in Missouri
Effie Jane born 20 January 1864 in Iowa
George C. born 23 October 1869 in Iowa
Silsby S. born 26 December 1872 in Iowa

Where an exact birthdate is given, information comes from the death certificates.

By 1900, John had married his second wife, Mary (Marie?) who was from Prussia.

In 1860, the family was in Bates County, Missouri. In 1870 and 1880, they are in Appanoose County, Iowa. I suspect that they were in Gates County, Nebraska in 1885. In 1900, they are in Rawlins County, Kansas. In 1910, they were in Clackamas County, Oregon.

I have information indicating that Mary's father may have been a William Alexander Pennington and Mary's mother may have been Martha Biggs.
