This is clearer:
Alice Alexander, born 1801 married Capt.John Reed, Jr. born 1794 (source: Topsham Maine Vital Records). SEEK CEMETERY to visit in August.
Her parents: Isaac Alexander born 1774 and Mary Pennell born 28 Aug 1776. Both Topsham. Alexander siblings: David and Isabel(Merryman) twin of Isaac.
(Source: DeAlva Alexander - The Alexanders of Maine, 1898). SEEK MARRIAGE DATE and cemetery for Mary Pennell and Isaac Alexander.
Mary Pennell was daughter of THOMAS PENNELL whom I have as married in Brunswick.
If I follow advice of Michael F. Dwyer:
Mary Pennell is daughter of Thomas Pennell, but it can't be the one who married Rachel Riggs in Portland 1735. He would have been married 41 years when Mary was born, so I must be missing somebody.
Thomas Pennell of Gloucestor (dates of birth and death?) m. Sarah Chisemore (Chisolm) when and where?
Thomas is son of Philip and Ann (Le Montais) Pinel of Isle of Jersey. Dates?
Who was the immigrant? Do we know the Date? Ship?
I'm alot clearer on my Orrs, but since Pennells were a substantial (?) boatbuilding family, I'm playing catch-up before August trip, if anyone can help.
Thank you.
I am totally confused. Can anybody line them up for me 1,2,3.........?
How confusing when men proudly name their sons after themselves. Frank Zappa had a good, if bizarre, idea.
Many thanks.
