Looking for information to substantiate a
land grant in Ohio from the King to a
Pembleton. The story goes that he came over on
the second ship after the Mayflower. Met an
Indian Chief on his way to Ohio and married
this Indian Chief's daughter for safe passage
to Ohio.
Any Pembleton's know anything about this?

I need to talk to you about this a little.
are you sure it was at the time of the mayflower that he married a indian?
or was it a later generation?
do you know what tribe?
because my line of dna has a close match with this name Pembleton and I had been looking in the Pembertons for a possible surname connected to
Shoeboots family or cousins or aunts etc..
anyway I am supposed to possible trace directly to a daughter of Oconostota a sister of Shoeboots Mother Ollie Nionee. now Shoeboots son is a trading post owner in PA/OH area and has connections there and with the cherokee and also land grants were given to that group of indians for many reasons like going to war with the british etc.

so I am trying to figure out if this Pembletonstory and what I thought I remember as Pemberton name connnected to shoeboots general family group is all connected some way?
maybe you can tell me more about what is remembered in the pembletons?
and Pempletons isn't Templetons right ? because that name is somehow connected also. through shoeboots twin sisters daughter.

well and also ancient cherokee don't say their R's sounds very well , but especially the letter P sounds very well at all .. so anyway any cherokee branch of Pembertons that group sure may have changed the name over time..... so if you can tell me more about what was remembered I would really appreciate it.
