Hello, I am new to Ancestry - signed up this month (August) for a year. I am married to a Pembleton & live in Nottinghamshire. Regards, San 22/8/2012

hello, I was born a Pembleton and believe I am related to Ruth and May Pembleton who lived at Palterton. I used to live in the next village. Regards, Enid.

I married into the Pembleton family & have now started researching our family. The earliest record I've found for them is marriage in the village of Edingley near Southwell, Nottinghamshire. I can date them there around 1780. Before then, I've drawn a blank. They settled in the Farnsfield area before spreading to Arnold (Nottingham), Mansfield & Chesterfield.

Hi Jonathan,
Are you still searching for Pembleton's by any chance. I have a couple of them linked to my tree which I am willing to share with yourself should you be willing to do the same.

Hi, I'm Lisa, and I too was married into the Pembleton family. And only 2 days ago came across some old marriage and birth certificates but also have information regarding other members of the family too.
My members are also from the Arnold Nottingham, and extended family members, including myself (at the time) are from Mansfield.
Could this be the same family?
Contact me and we can find out more together.
Regards Lisa

Hello Enid,
I'm not sure if we can help each other or if we are in fact related by marriage, as I too married into the Lewis family. However, my mother-in-law at the time was a Pembleton at birth.
Only 2 days ago I came across some old marriage and birth certificates, which have indicated other members of the Pembleton family.
If you would like to contact me then maybe we can help each other.
Take care, Lisa

Hi Ann,
Initially I am messaging you for myself, but whilst looking through the search engines finds I also came across something that you might be interested in too.
Whilst going through the results I came across a lady Enid (Melbourne40) who was born a Pembleton. However on 6/2/13 she posted that she was searching for Ruth & May Pembleton who lived in Palterton and she lived in the next village. I hope this is of some help to yourself.
Now for my own search, in 1998 I married into the Lewis family. However, my mother-in-law (then) was a lovely lady called Anne and here mother was Ivy Pembleton.
So with this connection I thought I would contact yourself to see if we could help each other.
Please contact me,
Regards Lisa

Hello again Enid,
It's Lisa, I've just messaged you and thought I would again.
As my next result led me to a lady that I thought you would be interested in also.
Her name is 'Blueberry065' and she is looking for a lady called Ivy Pembleton from Palterton.
This I found very interesting especially after reading your search request 'Pembleton's wanted', and thought that I really must contact you just on the off chance that you hadn't come across her search either.
I sincerely hope that this helps you very much,
Take care, Lisa
