I don't have specifics, but Have just started (again) looking for leads on the Pembles (my maternal Grandfather). He was born 1893 as Walter J and was a twin of 'Queenie' and lived in Broadstairs Kent.
The Pembles were largely Waterman working on the Thames and estuary, loading / unloading cargo off the big vessels and carrying to the Port of London.
