Thank you for your query. I am working on it - need a little clarification: In the footnotes, the "He was descended from the ancient and " - is that Robert or Christopher? Also later, the Roger - is he the son of Robert or Christopher? Also widow Katherine is which one's widow?

Thank again. I have a bunch of old data and will see if I can come up with anything. However, you probably have already reviewed the same data I have so we'll see.

I would like to add your information to the one-name study I am conducting so I would appreciate having the sources for all these facts.

I believe Robert Pemberton and Roger Pemberton are one and the same person? I have came across the "Roger" name along with the name of "Robert" in some of my research.

I stated "I believe Robert Pemberton and Roger Pemberton are one and the same person?" I must correct myself on this statement. "Roger Pemberton" WAS the son of Robert Pemberton. I'm sorry if my statement was misleading.

Argh! I thought I had some data for you but I was mistaken. Not only that, I am having difficulty locating parish registers for St Albans. I would like to check them to see what I can see. Do you know if they are available on the web? I have looked - so far without success.

Please contact me directly at pemberton@one-name.org as that would be more convenient.
