I agree that they may not be the same woman. The 1838 date I gave you was, I think, when one of Rosina's children was born. I would say she is definitely not a sibling for Garrot Pelster...a cousin would not surprise me. People often followed relatives and neighbors to new places.

The name business is confusing. I have found Macke ancestors in Germany with the same name living in the same area....so confusing.
