Did I ever reply to you with what I have on Catherine Pelster's siblings? I've also found out that Garrot was probably not Garrot in Germany...more likely Gerhard. The town "Garrot" was supposedly born in..spelled correctly..is EVERSWINKEL,OSTBEVERN,GERMANY. Catherine's brother, my ancestor..John Henry Pelster...was married in Twistringen in 1852. His name was written as Johann Heinrich PILSTER.
Twistringen is 80-100 miles from Everswinkel. I am not sure how John H. Pelster ended up there. He supposedly served in the German army.
